No-Bake S'Mores Pie

"Necessity is the mother of invention." - Plato

What do you do when you want a yummy dessert, but don't have a lot of ingredients on hand? I faced this conundrum recently. I wanted, no, needed something delicious to cap off a lazy Saturday. So I began to take inventory of the pantry. I didn't have any eggs. I was low on butter. What could I do? I did find an opened box of graham cracker crumbs, a box of instant chocolate pudding, and some marshmallow cream. So, I decided to make a pudding pie and top it with marshmallow cream instead of whipped cream. Peter added some chocolate sprinkles to the top. Lo and behold, it turned out delicious! I would make a few tweaks to the original, but all-in-all, a great and easy dessert!

Ingredients: instant chocolate pudding, graham cracker crust, marshmallow cream, milk, sprinkles if desired

Step 1: prepare the graham cracker crust, if necessary. You could certainly used a prepared crust. Step 2: prepare the pudding according to the directions, reducing the milk to 1 3/4 cups. Step 3: pour into crust and refrigerate for 1 hour, or up to 3 hours to reach desired firmness. Step 4: top with marshmallow cream and sprinkles. Refrigerate until firm.
