We were heading to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I was particularly looking for the components to a couple of recipes I wanted to make. Peter was with us, and because I was talking about recipes, he started talking about a recipe he wanted to make. The recipe he had in mind was pineapple pudding. Josh and I immediately began to suggest things like making pudding pops with vanilla pudding and pineapple. “No!” He shouted. “Chocolate!” Josh and I looked at each other, but shrugged it off and went to the store. Peter proceeded to pick out a pineapple and chocolate pudding mix. On the way home, he began talking about using 5 slices of butter. We were a little confused, but went home and Josh became his sous chef. After following his directions and making a few modifications along the way, Peter’s Pineapple Pudding was assembled, and quite tasty.
Ingredients: fresh pineapple, butter, chocolate pudding mix, milk, chocolate chips (for garnish)
Step 1: slice and core pineapple. Step 2: melt butter in frying pan and add pineapple slices. Cook until warm, tender, and slightly browned. Remove from heat. Step 3: prepare chocolate pudding according to directions. Step 4: place pineapple slice in bowl and cover with pudding. Garnish with chocolate chips if desired.
